In order to become a member of the initiative it is essential that the expert has either used the Quadriceps tenton autograft for Ligament reconstruction in surgical practice or/and has published papers on the subject.
Each application will be processed and answer will be given in the shortest time possible
Orthopedic surgery
Jon Karlsson, MD, PhD was born and raised in Iceland and went to medical school in Reykjavik, Iceland. Since 1981, he works at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. He defended his PhD-thesis on ”Chronic Lateral Instability of the Ankle” at Gothenburg University in 1989 and was appointed Associate Professor in 1990. Since 2010, he serves as full professor of Orthopaedics with special focus on Sports Traumatology at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg University. He is an experieced knee, foot & ankle and trauma surgeon. He is also an active reseracher, with more then 400 publications and over 30 books. He is currently the secretary of ISAKOS Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief of KSSTA (Knee Surgery Sports Traumatolgy Arthroscopy)
