Hege Grindem PT, PhD

Dr Grindem is a clinical researcher at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences and a sports physical therapist at the Norwegian Sports Medicine Clinic. She received her physical therapist degree from Oslo University College, and earned her MSc in sports physical therapy and a PhD in sports medicine from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences in Oslo, Norway. Dr Grindem’s primary clinical and research interest is knee ligament injuries. She maintains an active clinical practice at the Norwegian Sports Medicine Clinic and her research has a clinical and applied focus. Her published work has especially focused on outcomes following surgical and nonsurgical treatment of patients with ACL injuries, sports participation after ACL injury, and factors that contribute to safe return to play.
